Food for thought: part 2

Big Rich’s New York Style Cheesecake

1 lb. cottage cheese
1 lb. cream cheese
1 ½ cups Domino’s sugar
4 eggs, beaten lightly
Juice of ½ lemon
3 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tsp vanilla
¼ lb. butter
1 pt. sour cream

Cream the cheese in a bowl, add sugar, gradually beating. Then add the eggs and beat until smooth. Stir in lemon, vanilla, flour and cornstarch. Add melted butter (after it’s cooled) and mix until smooth. Finally, blend in sour cream.

Pour into a greased 9” spring form pan. Bake in a MODERATE OVEN, 325 degrees, for 1 hour. Allow the cake to remain in the oven for 2 hours longer, with the oven turned off. DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN during the total 3 hours!

Eat the cheesecake!
